Not for Properties – UAE is offering Visas to these individuals too

The UAE has long been associated with luxury real estate and property investments. However, recent changes are set to redefine its residency policies by expanding visa offerings to a broader range of individuals, beyond just property investors.

In recent years, the UAE has introduced several new residency options, such as the Golden Visa and the Green Visa, aimed at attracting top-tier professionals, skilled workers, entrepreneurs, and even remote workers from around the world. These visas are not contingent on property ownership; instead, they focus on skills, investments, and various qualifications.

The Golden Visa is a significant development, granting long-term residency to entrepreneurs, investors, and outstanding talents in fields such as science, education, health, and culture. Applicants can obtain this visa by investing in UAE businesses or by demonstrating expertise in a specialized area.

Additionally, the Green Visa allows skilled employees, freelancers, and self-employed individuals to live and work in the UAE without needing employer sponsorship. This 5-year visa is particularly attractive to those in high-demand sectors such as IT, engineering, and healthcare.

For digital nomads, the UAE has also introduced a Virtual Work Visa, which allows individuals employed by foreign companies to live in the UAE while working remotely.

These shifts represent a significant change in the UAE’s strategy for attracting global talent and mark a step toward becoming a hub for innovation and opportunity.
