At a time when fast food was still a novelty in the Kingdom, Shakour introduced the broasted chicken concept through a humble outlet on Old Airport Road. Facing supply chain hurdles and limited resources, he persisted with determination. His signature recipes—seasoned with a unique blend of spices—quickly captured the taste buds of locals.
Sadly, Shakour passed away in 1986, leaving behind not just a business, but a vision. His sons, Ihsan and Rami Abu Ghazalah, stepped up to carry the torch. Under their leadership, Al Baik expanded steadily across Saudi Arabia and eventually to neighboring countries like the UAE and Bahrain. Despite its growth, the chain has stayed true to its roots: quality food, served fast, at a fair price.
